Where have all the good cars gone?

Massillon's 2007 Cruise-In was held this past Saturday and I wish that I could say that it was everything that I had hoped and waited for but it wasn't. Unfortunately for me there were only a handful of "classic cars" there, cars that are maybe fifty years old or older. The more chrome, the better I always say. I did spend quite a bit of time on this 1947 Cadillac though. I got a number of great images of it but for some reason this image kind of reminds me of a toaster.

A car is considered a classic at 25 years, but it's hard to think of a 1982 car as a classic. Were they still making Gremlins then? :-)

I didn't see the toaster at first, but now that you mention it...

I'm not sure when they stopped making Gremlins but there was actually one of those there along with a number of Vegas and Mavericks. Sorry, no powder blue Chevettes this year.

Hey... my Chevette was a '77, making it well and truly a "classic." Scary, huh?

10 more years and my Miata will be a classic. Not much chrome, but it's swoopy.
