This is a different view of the previous post. I love the colored balls at the top of this one.
Love this one! There was an article in the newspaper over the weekend about these old motels (they called them Do-Wop Motels) that are being destroyed by the dozens because they can't compete with the big chains or the developers who want to put up condos on these prime-property sites. Like the drive-ins that disappeared a decade ago, the old motels will be the next to disappear. Perhaps you should do a book of motel sign photographs before they're all gone! (Someone did a book a few years back of the drive-ins, actually.)
Thanks for the idea. I googled Do-Wop motels because I had never heard of that term and I think I found the article that you were talking about. The article mentioned Wildwood NJ where my mom used to take us on vacation when we were young. I remember details about the motel but can't remember the name of it.
That's the article. I spelled it wrong-- Doo-Wop. I dug through the recycle bin to find it, thinking I'd send it to you.
